IRG Travel Award

Aim

The aim of an IRG Travel Award is to contribute to the realization of the scientific objectives of the IRG.

The Award shall strengthen the existing networks by allowing scientists to go to a laboratory in another country, or in some instances within their own country, to learn a new technique or to make measurements using instruments and/or methods not available in their own laboratory.

Who can apply?

The applicant will normally be a scientist or student establishing themselves in the field of wood protection, or in a field related directly to wood protection interests. A short report has to be prepared and submitted to the IRG Secretariat after the mission.

Application

Researchers seeking support should submit to the IRG Secretariat a completed application form accompanied by a completed acceptance form from the host institution. Application can be sent to the Secretariat at any time, but at least 8 weeks before the mission is intended to take place, for consideration by the IRG Travel Award Committee.

There are two ways to apply for the IRG Travel Award:
