A competitive enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), based on polyclonal antibodies, was developed to measure benzyldimethyldodecylammonium chloride (BDDAC). The anti-BDDAC polyclonal antibodies recognized free BDDAC in an indirect competitive ELISA.
