The IRG Documents Database Viewer is a search tool for all documents published by the IRG since 1969.
Status of IRG documents
IRG papers are discussion documents intended to stimulate discussions at the Annual meetings. They may represent original research, reviews of prior research or position papers intended to raise new or controversial issues. Since these papers are not peer reviewed, they represent the author's personal views and must therefore be viewed with some caution since the conclusions have not withstood the oversight that peer review can provide. Given this limitation, however, IRG documents also represent the most current, comprehensive assembly of information related to global trends in wood protection. In addition, the papers on original research are often the first, (or only,) results available for the research topic being discussed. Consequently they are frequently cited in papers published in international scientific journals. Taken in combination with the peer reviewed literature, they can provide an excellent overview to the current state of knowledge in the field.
The IRG Compendium
The IRG Compendium is a collection of more than 4000 IRG documents (pdf-files) published in 1969-2010. It is available as one DVD and can be ordered from the IRG Secretariat. The price during 2010 is Swedish Kroner SEK 250 for members and sponsors and SEK 10 000 for others.

In 1990, 1993, 1995, 1998, 2001 and 2005 a special conference with focus on health and safety and environmental issues in wood protection was organised by Centre Technique du Bois et de l’Ameublement (CTBA) in Cannes, France. The IRG has been co-organiser of this event and responsible for issuing the Proceedings.
