Excursion - Wednesday June 25

The excursion will take place on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.
As it may rain on the day, please bring the folding umbrellas that were distributed on the first day. Also, at the registration on the first day, we will distribute T-shirts as novelty goods. Please wear this when participating in the excursion. Kamakura is unimaginably crowded (experiencing that may be one of the fun parts of traveling!). Even adults can get lost, so we recommend wearing the IRG56 T-shirt.
Meeing (12:30 PM):
Please gather by 12:30 at the location immediately after getting off the elevator on the 1st floor of Annex Hall. For more details, please refer to the map below.
Departure (12:45 PM):
Six buses will head to three locations in Kamakura (1. The Great Buddha of Kamakura, 2. Hase-dera Temple, 3. Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine). Kamakura is an old town, so the roads are narrow. It is also a popular spot with many tourists. Therefore, instead of heading to the same location in six buses (= 200 people at the same time), we will split into three groups of two buses and change the order of visiting each group.
Please note that after splitting into three groups of two buses at the departure point, Pacifico Yokohama, we will not meet up with the other two groups until the dinner venue in Chinatown.
Sightseeing (12:45 PM - 7:00 PM):
We will travel to three sightseeing spots by a chartered bus with an interpreter. We will have lunch on the bus.

Dinner (7:00 PM - 9:00 PM):
Dinner will be at a reserved Chinese restaurant in Yokohama Chinatown. We will disperse at the restaurant. The train ticket from Motomachi-Chukagai Station (the nearest station from the Chinese restaurant) to Minatomirai Station (the nearest station from the Pacifico Yokohama) will be handed out at the restaurant. It takes about three minutes on foot to reach Motomachi-Chukagai Station, and the train ride to Minatomirai Station on the Minatomirai Line takes about five minutes.

Menu
A course meal that includes meat, fish, and vegetables will be served. The menu features: assorted appetizers, braised whole shark fin with matsutake mushrooms, king crab stir-fried with scallion and ginger sauce, thinly sliced Wagyu beef stir-fried with Japanese pepper, original Peking duck, crab meat xiaolongbao, shrimp stir-fried with mayonnaise sauce, mapo tofu, plum pickled vegetable fried rice, and dessert.
All-you-can-drink is included, with a selection of beer, Shaoxing wine, sake, fruit liqueurs, whiskey, highballs, chuhai and sours, and soft drinks (orange juice, cola, ginger ale, green tea, oolong tea, etc.).
