Collaborative Research Fund

 

 

The IRG Collaborative Research Fund was established in 2025 as a means to encourage and provide funding for joint projects between members and organizations within the IRG. The intent was to provide funding for a maximum of one such project per year. The guidelines for the Collaborative Research Fund can be found at this link.

When established, funding was set at a maximum of 100,000SEK per project. However, following the first year's applications, it was realized that the 100,000SEK was inadequate in providing realistic funding across organizations and in 2026 the funding available was increased to a maximum of 200,000 SEK for any one project in 2026 and 2027.

Supplemental funding for the initial project approved in 2025 was generously provided by the Japan Wood Protection Association - JWPA for which the IRG was immensely grateful.
