The leaching rate of copper and triazole (such as tebuconazole and propiconazole) in different preservative formulations was determined according to AWPA E11-06. Of all copper triazole and ACQ formulations, copper fixation rate of ammonia based was higher than that of ethanolamine based and the mixture of them. Copper fixation rate at relatively higher retention was slight higher than that at lower retention except for some copper formulations based on ethanolamine only.Leaching rate of TEB was from 7.7% to 37.3% and PPZ from 7.5% to 29.6% in the all formulations. Addition of copper complex, especially ammonia complex, in the formulations could reduce the leaching rate of TEB while equivalent retention of TEB in the copper triazole and in emulsion type.
