In the paper, the fungicidal activity of new ionic liquids structures, N,N-dimethylalkylamines derivatives, containing a spacer built of 7 or 10 methylene groups with nitrate(V) and tetrafluoroborate anions, didecyldimethylammonium and benzalkonium nitrate(V) were presented. The research was also conducted on the sorption of cations of ammonium ionic liquids on five types of podzolic, humic alluvial, sandy black earth soils originating from arable and forest lands of Northern and Central Poland. The sorption of the studied ionic liquids onto the soils, as well as the irreversibility of this process depended on the type, composition and chemical characteristics of the soil component and were related to hydrophobicity of ammonium salts. Adsorption on soil was linearly related to the solution concentration of new wood preservatives. Ionic liquids proved high adsorption onto soils made of loam and clay (arable land), and a significantly lower sorption on forest soil.
